C+A TALKS 10 - Anton Garcia-Abril
Anton Garcia-Abril, a rising star of Spanish architecture, presents his current and recent works at the 2nd annual C+A TALKS 10. Anton Garcia-Abrils uncompromising Hemeroscopium and Martemar Houses have been published internationally and reviewed to great acclaim. He will present these and other recent and current works including the Berklee Tower of Music, Valencia; the SGAE Central Office and the Musical Studies Centre, both in Santiago de Campostela.

Tilt Up
Tilt up concrete construction is a proven method for a wide range of buildings with speed, safety and construction cost benefits. Flat concrete panels are cast in a horizontal position and lifted up into vertical position. Panels are then connected with each other and fixed into the roof and floor structure. This video shows the process of a typical tilt up construction practice.

100 Slump
A recent change to AS 1379, the Australian Standard for the specification and supply of concrete, has set a default slump for concrete used in residential slabs and footings. This means that concrete will now be supplied at a default slump of 100 mm in cases where the customer has not specified a slump. This video discusses these changes in an entertaining and informative 'slice-of-life' style.
